Peugeot 208 Model presented at the 82nd Geneva Motor Show
The all-new Peugeot 208 model will be made available in the European markets in both 3 and 5 door models. This new car is a successor of the outgoing Peugeot 207 model.
March 10, 2012: The French car maker, Peugeot Citroen has showcased its all-new 208 model at the 82nd International Geneva Motor Show. This new 208 model is expected to be better than its predecessor popular 207 model of the Peugeot.
The new model weighs about 110 kg less than the Peugeot 207 model. This light weight Peugeot 208 model offers reduction of 34g/km in emission level. According to the maker, the new Peugeot 208 model is the most eco friendly cars in its segment.
The company is planning to launch the 208 model with two engine options – a 1.0 litre 3-cylinder engine that produces maximum power of 75 hp and a 1.2-litre engine capable of delivering decent power of 100 hp. The car will be produced and made available to the customers in the European markets in both 3 as well as 5 door style model. The new Peugeot 208 model is expected to be produced in the European markets by the end of this year.
During the showcasing ceremony of the Peugeot 208 model, the Style Director at the Automobiles Peugeot, Mr. Gilles Vidal said, “The strength of the 208 lies in its style – it is a real ball of energy. It has the potential to please everyone, like a popular piece of music that touches the human soul regardless of culture.”
