Nissan Infiniti Soon to get Introduced in India

Nissan is seriously mulling over introducing its well known Infiniti brand to make its presence felt in the luxury car segment.

January 13, 2012: The Indian auto industry has become one of the fastest growing markets for the automakers around the world as there is increase in the sales volume of cars due to rise in the income level of the Indian consumers. This has also attracted many luxury auto brands introducing their new range of vehicles in the country. Now, Nissan Motor Company is also mulling over introducing its luxury car brand Infiniti in India with its desirable range of vehicles.

Infiniti M-Series Sedan

The corporate vice-president of Infiniti and light commercial vehicle business unit for Africa, the Middle East and India, Mr. Gilles Normand said, “We will surely launch Infiniti in India. Currently we are doing a research to determine how and when we will bring the brand to India.” Nissan Infiniti’s network is spread across 15 countries including US, West Asia, South Korea, Russia, Taiwan, China, Ukraine and the UK. The Infiniti has 230 dealerships around the world.

The Infiniti brand if launched in India, its portfolio could consist of G series sedan to take on the BMW 3 series, Mercedes C class and Audi A4. The Infiniti’s M series Saloon will vie with the BMW 5 series, Mercedes E class, Audi A6 and Jaguar XF, while the mini sports utility vehicle EX series would give tough fight to BMW X3 and Audi Q5. Apart from this, Infiniti may also bring in FX and QX series SUVs.
