2012 Maruti Suzuki A-Star Launched

2012 A-Star has been revamped based on the feedbacks received from the customers. The new premier export model A-Star now sports enhanced look, feel and comfort.

February 1, 2012: Maruti Suzuki, the largest small car seller in India, has launched the revamped version of A-Star for 2012 year model. The 2012 A-Star is produced at the Manesar plant on the basis of the customer feedback, which has resulted into a car with an enhanced look, feel and comfort. A-Star is presented as the fifth World Strategic Model by Suzuki.

With the 998cc K10B petrol engine, the new A-Star produces 67PS of power at 6200rpm and peak torque of 90Nm at 3500rpm. Thus, the company hasn’t altered the engine. This engine is mated with a 5-speed manual or 4-speed auto transmission. The revamped A-Star delivers mileage of 19kmpl, according to test reports from ARIA Pune.

New A-Star has received complete revamping featuring premium and sporty upholstery, dual ‘grey and beige’ interiors and spacious feel inside the cabin. The new car is equipped with 50-50 rear split seats improving user convenience and storage spaces along with the incorporated rear spoiler to give sporty feel. The front head restraints have been tweaked providing more spacious feel to the cabin. With respect to the safety, the car comes loaded with ABS and airbags as an optional feature with the top variant of 2012 A-Star. The looks of the car are very appealing with new alloy wheels. The car is now available in two new colours Pearl Caffeine Brown and Metallic Glistening Grey.

A-star LXi – Rs.3.66 lakhs
A-star VXi – Rs.3.97 lakhs
A-star VXi – Rs.4.47 lakhs
A-star ZXi – Rs.4.22 lakhs
A-star ZXi with ABS and Airbags – Rs.4.40 lakhs
